Monuments to Collaborators In June 2013, Romania commemorated the order of Marshal I. Antonescu to cross the border of the USSR and start the seizure of Moldova on June 22, 1941.

On June 16th, 2013, representatives of the Galati Border Police and the Ministry of Defence laid flowers in memory of the soldiers of the 11th infantry unit to the monument specially built in their honour, on which Antonescu’s order is stamped which marked the beginning of the war against the Soviet Union, which led to massive destruction of innocent Jewish population.
