Vandalism

A series of incidents of hateful vandalism, mainly graffiti, occurred in Spain in 2018, 2019 and 2020. At least 6 cases of anti-Semitic graffiti on synagogue walls or monuments to Holocaust victims are known during this period. In addition, there were at least five cases of anti-Muslim graffiti on mosque walls in 2018 and 2019. Other organizations report about more vandalism cases. For example, the Spanish Muslim Association for Human Rights, for example, reports four incidents in 2019 at mosques and another 10 incidents in other public places.
