The scandalous anti-Semite comedian Dieudonné Mbala-Mbala in 2013 called the commemoration of Holocaust victims a "pornography of memory" and questioned the existence of gas chambers.

The newspaper has been fined several times (many of which have never been paid) for anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial, most recently on November 4, 2020 . Another prolific anti-Semite and Holocaust denier, Herve Rüssen, was jailed for 19 months on September 20, 2020. Serial Holocaust denier Vincent Reynoir, who lives in exile in Great Britain to escape from prison, was sentenced in absentia to 4 months on November 25. And another serial anti-Semite and denier, Alain Soral, who is currently living in Switzerland to avoid prosecution, is still awaiting the outcome of his appeals court, after he received 1 year in prison in April 2019.
